They are seeking a senior Solutions Architect to join their cloud practice, specifically within a large mining group in Gauteng. This role is strategic and focuses on application and cloud architecture, rather than engineering or DevOps tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying DVT's Cloud Contour framework, an AI-powered advisory platform that optimizes costs and provides insights into cloud health.
In this role, you will lead solution design activities, translating business requirements into scalable technical architectures. You will need a strong background in AI solutions, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with experience in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Your ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders will be crucial.
The ideal candidate will have 7 to 12 years of experience in Solution Architecture, with a focus on application integration and cloud-native design. You should have a proven track record as a Design Authority on complex projects and be skilled in producing professional architecture artifacts. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with relevant certifications in AI or cloud technologies being a plus.
