As a Senior IT Technician at ASI Connect, you will be responsible for managing and supporting various IT systems across multiple customer sites. Your day-to-day tasks will involve setting up and monitoring MS Server environments, utilizing Hyper-V, and ensuring that all network components such as LAN, WAN, and VLAN are functioning smoothly. You will also handle backup and restoration processes using Veeam, troubleshoot firewall issues, and provide support for Office 365 applications.
In this role, you will interact directly with customers, addressing their IT needs and resolving any issues they may encounter. You will also be expected to manage third-party suppliers and oversee helpdesk ticket systems, ensuring that all IT problems are reported and managed effectively. Your experience in employee management and mentoring will be valuable as you guide junior team members.
To succeed in this position, you should have at least four years of experience in a senior IT role, particularly in customer-facing environments. A recognized tertiary qualification in IT and MS Certification are essential. You should be well-versed in various technologies, including Exchange Server, Active Directory, and DNS/DHCP management.
