**About the Role** We are looking for a sharp, dependable Project Liaison to join our growing exhibitions and events team in Cape Town. This is a hybrid role at the intersection of project coordination, client relationship management, and administration β perfect for someone who thrives on juggling moving parts, knows the local industry inside out, and can read a room (or a brief) the moment they walk into it. You will be the connective tissue between our clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal project teams β making sure stands go up on time, expectations are managed, and nothing falls through the cracks. The Cape Town events market has its own rhythm, its own preferred suppliers, and its own way of doing things. We need someone who already speaks that language. **Key Responsibilities** ***Project Coordination*** * Manage exhibition stands, activations, and event projects from brief through to post\-event wrap\-up * Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and on\-site logistics across CTICC, GrandWest, Century City Conference Centre, and other Cape Town venues * Liaise with build teams, designers, suppliers, AV technicians, and freight providers * Conduct site visits, technical inspections, and venue walk\-throughs * Troubleshoot on\-site issues calmly and decisively during build, show, and breakdown ***Client Management*** * Serve as the primary day\-to\-day point of contact for assigned clients * Translate client briefs into clear, actionable plans for internal teams * Manage expectations diplomatically, including pushback on unrealistic timelines or budgets * Build and maintain long\-term relationships with clients, agencies, and venue partners ***Administration*** * Prepare quotes, purchase orders, supplier briefs, and reconciliation reports * Maintain accurate project documentation, contracts, and CRM records * Track project budgets and flag variances early * Coordinate venue bookings, exhibitor manuals, health and safety files, and compliance paperwork **What We're Looking For** ***Non\-negotiables:*** * Minimum 3β5 years' experience in the exhibitions, events, or experiential marketing industry * Demonstrable working knowledge of the Cape Town events market β venues, suppliers, freight, custom build, AV, and the local agency landscape * Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple projects concurrently * Excellent written and verbal English communication; additional Afrikaans or isiXhosa is a strong advantage * Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle (site visits and after\-hours builds are part of the job) * Comfort working extended hours during build\-up and show days, including weekends when required **What sets the right candidate apart:** * You understand the unwritten rules β which suppliers deliver under pressure, which venues need extra lead time, how Cape Town traffic and load shedding shape build schedules, and how to navigate everything from corporate clients to creative agencies without missing...
