Carlysle Talent Search is seeking an Intermediate AI Engineer to join a small, fast-moving technology business that specializes in delivering practical AI solutions to commercial customers. In this role, you will be involved in building and maintaining Python APIs using FastAPI for AI-driven applications. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on and solution-oriented, as you will work across the full stack and directly on real production systems.
As an AI Engineer, you will gradually take ownership of a deployed AI solution, enhancing it over time and helping to scale it to additional customers. You should have a basic understanding of AI concepts, including embeddings, prompt handling, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Familiarity with Ollama or locally hosted AI models would be a plus, but it is not mandatory.
