Mindrift is looking for a Data Scraping Engineer to join their team in Durban. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing data scraping solutions that automate the extraction of information from various online sources. Your work will support the Tendem project, which involves handling large datasets and ensuring data accuracy and efficiency in processing.
On a daily basis, you will work with Python to create scripts that can navigate websites and extract relevant data. You'll also collaborate with other team members to understand project requirements and optimize scraping processes. This position requires a solid understanding of web technologies and the ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during data extraction.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background in software development and automation. You should be comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively to meet project deadlines.
