The Role As a Estimator/ Surveyor, you will work closely with our Commercial Manager to support the preparation of quotations, tenders, and project costings for commercial fencing and gate installations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long\-term career in construction estimating, commercial management, or project delivery. Full training will be provided, but you must have a keen eye for detail, strong numerical skills, and a desire to learn. You will gain exposure to a wide range of commercial projects, from high\-security fencing installations to major infrastructure and industrial developments. Key ResponsibilitiesTender \& Quotation Support * Assist in reviewing tender enquiries and project specifications. * Prepare accurate take\-offs from drawings and site plans. * Measure quantities using drawings, PDFs, and estimating software. * Support the preparation of competitive quotations and tender submissions. Cost Planning * Assist in obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations. * Help build project cost estimates, material schedules, and labour forecasts. * Monitor current material costs and market pricing. Technical Review * Learn and develop knowledge of commercial fencing systems including: * Steel palisade fencing * V\-Mesh and twin\-wire mesh systems * Security fencing * Access control gates * Timber fencing systems * Bollards and perimeter protection products Project Handover * Support the smooth transition of successful tenders into live projects. * Assist with procurement schedules and project documentation. * Work closely with installation teams and project managers. Commercial Administration * Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, and tender returns. * Update estimating databases and project tracking systems. * Produce reports and documentation for the Commercial Manager.
