The Academic Administrator plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, academic quality assurance, and efficient academic operations across the institution. This role supports the academic lifecycle of students and programmes assuring that all processes align with statutory requirements (CHE, DHET, SAQA, QCTO, UMALUSI), internal academic policies, and institutional governance structures. The Academic Administrator works closely with academic leaders, faculty, and regulatory bodies to maintain high academic standards and operational excellence. **Key Responsibilities\-** Regulatory Compliance \& Quality Assurance * Ensure compliance with **CHE, DHET, SAQA, QCTO, and UMALUSI** requirements * Maintain accurate academic records for audits and accreditation * Support programme accreditation, re\-accreditation, and certification processes * Uphold institutional academic policies and procedures * Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives * Academic Governance \& Committee Support * Provide administrative support to **Senate, Faculty Boards, Programme Committees, and Examination Boards** * Prepare agendas, minutes, and reports * Track and follow up on committee action items * Programme Administration * Monitor programme delivery in line with accreditation approvals * Assist with qualification verification and completion processes * Prepare graduation lists and certificates * Support graduation ceremonies and related activities * Assist with **CHED file preparation** for NLRD submissions Reporting \& Data Management * Generate reports for management, regulators, and audits * Ensure data accuracy across systems (**LMS, ITS, assessment platforms**) * Support enrolment planning and performance analysis Stakeholder Engagement * Liaise with academic staff, regulators, external moderators, industry partners, and students * Respond to and resolve academic administration queries * Provide guidance on academic policies and processes **Qualifications \& Experience**Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in **Education, Administration, Management, or related field** * **3–5 years’ experience** in academic administration or regulatory compliance * Knowledge of South African regulatory frameworks (**CHE, DHET, SAQA, QCTO**) * Strong understanding of academic governance and student lifecycle processes Advantageous: * Experience with accreditation submissions and reporting * Familiarity with **ITS and LMS systems** * Postgraduate qualification **Skills \& Competencies** * Strong organisational and planning skills * Excellent communication (written \& verbal) * High attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to interpret regulatory frameworks and policies * Strong reporting and data management skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgement * Strong personal and stakeholder engagement skill * **Why Join Us?Be part of a dynamic academic environment where your...
