Collaborative and data-driven
As a Financial Data Analyst at Affinity International, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. Your primary focus will be on analyzing operational and financial data, which will involve working extensively with spreadsheets to track key metrics like sales performance and cost analysis. This position is remote, supporting a UK-based client, so you will need to align your working hours with GMT.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include importing, cleaning, and organizing large datasets from various operational sources. You will build and maintain data models to track important metrics and identify trends or anomalies within the data. Additionally, you will prepare regular and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders, ensuring that your findings are presented in a clear and understandable manner.
This role is ideal for a numerate graduate with a strong background in finance or accounting. You should be comfortable working with raw data and have a solid understanding of financial principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, and familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau would be beneficial. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are also key competencies for success in this position.
If you are someone who enjoys working independently and proactively identifying insights from data, this role could be a great fit for you. A BCom degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required, and any progress toward professional designations like CIMA or ACCA would be advantageous. Join a supportive team where your analytical skills can make a real impact.
