As a Business Analyst for a public sector entity, you will play a crucial role in driving large-scale projects that have a meaningful impact. Your primary responsibilities will include eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements from various stakeholders. You will facilitate workshops and working sessions, ensuring that all voices are heard and that the requirements are clearly understood by both technical and non-technical teams.
In this role, you will produce high-quality documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), user stories, and process maps. You will also conduct process analysis and gap assessments to identify areas for improvement. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with solution architects, developers, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle, managing the requirements backlog and ensuring full traceability.
To succeed in this position, you should have at least five years of experience in business analysis, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment. A valid IIBA certification is mandatory, and experience in public sector projects is a plus. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with diverse stakeholders and need to convey complex information in an accessible manner.
