IT Cloud Specialist

As an IT Cloud Specialist at Sun International, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Azure cloud infrastructure that supports the company's business operations. Your day-to-day tasks will involve hands-on administration of core Azure services, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and securely. You will also focus on monitoring performance, managing costs, and maintaining compliance in a dynamic cloud environment.

In this role, you will work with various Azure components, including Virtual Machines, Application Gateways, Load Balancers, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters. Your responsibilities will extend to broader operational aspects such as cloud networking, security, and resource management. You will need to adopt a proactive approach to ensure high availability and cost efficiency, making use of FinOps principles to optimize cloud spending.

This position is best suited for a mid-level professional with at least three years of experience in cloud administration, particularly with Azure. You should have a solid understanding of cloud technologies and be comfortable managing production environments. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential, as you will be part of a team that values transparency and accountability.

To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification. Additional certifications in Azure Solutions Architecture or Security are preferred but not mandatory.
