As a Senior Digital Signal Processing Engineer at Six Sense Consulting, you will be at the forefront of developing advanced DSP products tailored for radio astronomy applications. Your role will involve both high-level design and low-level implementation of digital signal processing systems, primarily using FPGA technology. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure that the products meet the rigorous demands of radio astronomy instrumentation.
In your day-to-day work, you will be responsible for: • Designing and implementing complete DSP systems on FPGA-based hardware. • Writing technical documentation that outlines the design and implementation processes. • Analyzing system requirements and defining suitable designs. • Implementing optimized DSP algorithms and parallel processing techniques. • Utilizing tools like JIRA for workflow management and Git for version control.
This position is best suited for engineers with a strong background in electrical, electronics, or mechatronics engineering, along with extensive experience in DSP and FPGA design. A solid understanding of multi-rate and parallel implementations of DSP operations is essential. Familiarity with radio astronomy instrumentation and high-speed data transport will be advantageous but not mandatory.
