As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be part of a team dedicated to building and maintaining a robust data infrastructure that supports operational and supply chain data needs. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that data is accessible in real-time, with a focus on minimizing latency and maximizing data quality. You will work closely with various logistics systems, integrating data from sources like ERP, WMS, and TMS to create a seamless flow of information.
Your day-to-day tasks will include designing and developing ELT/ETL pipelines, utilizing tools such as Apache Airflow, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory. You will also be responsible for data modeling and schema design, ensuring that the data is structured efficiently for optimal performance. Monitoring data quality metrics and addressing any issues that arise will be a key part of your role, as will onboarding new data sources in a timely manner.
This position is best suited for someone with at least 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, particularly within the logistics or supply chain sectors. A strong understanding of SQL and data optimization techniques is essential. Additionally, certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Data Analytics will be advantageous.
