Watershed Consulting is on the lookout for a mid-level Data Engineer to join their team in Sandton. This role is crucial for designing and developing business intelligence solutions that help the company make informed decisions. You will work with a variety of tools, including Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, to create data products that are both reliable and user-friendly.
In your day-to-day work, you will be responsible for building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes. This includes converting business requirements into well-governed data models and dashboards. You will also manage relational database environments, troubleshoot any data-related issues, and ensure that data quality is maintained throughout the processes.
