As a C/C++ Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing embedded systems for a leading Electronic Systems provider. Your primary responsibility will be to navigate the RTCA 178C software development process, ensuring that all products meet stringent safety and compliance standards. This involves planning, establishing requirements, designing, developing, verifying, and validating software, as well as maintaining projects through to completion.
You will need to analyze system-level requirements and translate them into high-level software requirements. Your day-to-day tasks will include writing test cases to evaluate these requirements, ensuring that the software you develop is reliable and meets the necessary safety criteria. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in C and C++ programming, as well as experience in a safety-critical software environment.
To succeed in this position, you should have a BEng in Computer Engineering or a BSc equivalent degree, along with at least five years of software development experience. Familiarity with embedded operating systems and requirement analysis will be beneficial.
