Samaha Consulting is looking for a Manager: AI Data Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will work closely with various teams, including AI Platform Engineering and Data Platform teams, to ensure that AI solutions are built on reliable and compliant data. Your main responsibility will be to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and AI-ready data products for MTN Group Fintech (MoMo).
You will be tasked with building reusable datasets that can be utilized by Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Product Teams. This requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders to accelerate the delivery of AI solutions.
Key responsibilities include: • Designing and developing enterprise data pipelines • Ensuring data compliance and governance • Collaborating with AI and MLOps teams • Leading a team of data engineers to achieve project goals
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on AI applications.
