Sasso Consulting is looking for a mid-level Data Engineer to join their team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines that facilitate the processing and analysis of large datasets. Your work will directly support machine learning initiatives, making it essential to have a strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with data scientists and other engineers to ensure that data is preprocessed and validated effectively for machine learning models. You will also have the opportunity to work with modern tools and technologies, including feature stores and MLOps, which can enhance your skills in the field.
The ideal candidate for this position has 3 to 5 years of professional experience in data engineering and is comfortable working with data-focused backend systems.
