The Legends Agency is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for building and scaling next-generation real-time data solutions. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure that data flows seamlessly and efficiently across various platforms.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing and implementing data pipelines, optimizing data processing workflows, and ensuring data quality and integrity. You will leverage technologies such as Kafka Streaming, Spark, Iceberg, and Kubernetes to create robust data solutions that meet the needs of the business.
This role is ideal for someone with at least five years of experience in data engineering, who is comfortable working with complex data systems and has a strong understanding of real-time data processing. You should be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
