Join a dynamic cybersecurity firm in Cape Town as an L2 SOC Analyst. You'll play a key role in investigating security incidents and improving detection capabilities across various client environments.
This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical background in cybersecurity, particularly in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. As an L2 SOC Analyst, you will be responsible for investigating security alerts and incidents across multiple client environments. Your day-to-day tasks will involve analyzing security telemetry, performing threat hunting, and contributing to improvements in SIEM and detection capabilities.
In this position, you will independently handle L2 SOC investigations, assessing the nature, severity, and potential impact of security events. You will also analyze alerts from EDR/XDR systems and monitor endpoint security events. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and various security events related to email and network security will be beneficial.
The ideal candidate for this role should have at least two years of experience in a similar position.
