African Arete is looking for a Customer Engineer to join their team in Bedfordview. In this role, you will provide technical support to clients, ensuring their IT needs are met efficiently. Your day-to-day tasks will involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, both remotely and on-site, as well as installing and configuring technical equipment and enterprise software.
You will serve as the primary technical contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are adhered to. This means you will need to communicate effectively with clients and relay their feedback to internal teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing user accounts and permissions through Active Directory, as well as maintaining essential infrastructure components like Domain Controllers.
To succeed in this role, you should have a solid foundation in IT, with certifications such as A+, N+, MCSA, or MCSE. Experience in field service or deskside support is essential, ideally between 2 to 5 years. You will also need to be comfortable with networking and switch configuration, as well as documenting customer interactions and technical issues in ticketing systems.
