We offer a market related, Total Remuneration Package which allows full flexibility according to your needs, a great work environment and a promise that you won't be bored as long as you are prepared for a challenge and want to build something great. **Reporting to the Marketplace Operations Manager** **Your responsibilities will include:** * Solve ambiguous problems with less well\-defined inputs and outputs; drive to the heart of the problem and identify root causes. * Identify, develop and execute data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunities * Learn and understand the broad range of Takealot data resources and develop knowledge of how, when and which data sources to use. * Deep dive into massive data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, MS Excel and data analytics tools. * Maintain existing and build new automation workflows, and reports/dashboards to enable emerging business use case and to automate the implementation of defined SOPs * Validating the data to ensure accuracy in the output, generating descriptive statistics and extracting insights * Prototyping of data analytics tools to support marketplace operations teams. * Develop forecasting models and simulations to quantify the potential impact of proposed operational process changes, supporting evidence\-based decision\-making. **Qualifications and experience:** * Bachelor's Degree in any quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Engineering or Operations Research or Similar degree. * 2\-4 years of experience working in Analytics * Experience in working with databases and SQL in a business environment * Prior experience in design and execution of analytical projects **Skills required:** * Exceptional attention to detail * Data\-obsessed, analytical and able to generate actionable insights driven by data analytics. * Solutions\-oriented, can\-do attitude and high energy * Strong analytical and critical thinking, using data to inform decisions * Logical individual, motivated by building workable solutions * Strong prioritization and managerial skills * Exceptional attention to detail * Ability to manage complex interfaces \& senior relationships * Strong aptitude to learn new systems * Strong understanding of business processes, acumen and interlinked relationships * Ability to approach problems logically and with good judgement to ensure the appropriate customer outcome * Versatile and with the appetite to learn by doing **The Environment**: * takealot.com employees are entrepreneurial and dynamic, smart, customer\-centric, fun and have the shared ambition of takealot.com being the leading e\-commerce company in Africa. * We have fun, work hard, take...
