You will work alongside Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to ensure delivery of high\-quality banking software through manual functional testing, end\-to\-end execution, UAT, regression, and API validation. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform **Manual Functional Testing** across banking applications (web, mobile, and back\-end systems) * Execute **End\-to\-End Test Execution and UAT** in line with business and regulatory requirements * Conduct **Regression and Integration Testing** across release cycles * Perform **API Testing** using Postman, Swagger, and SoapUI * Conduct **SQL\-based Data Validation** to verify data integrity across banking platforms * Test **Reconciliation and Banking Workflows** (payments, statements, customer journeys) * Manage the full **Defect Lifecycle** in Jira — log, triage, retest, and close * Participate in **Agile ceremonies** — sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, retrospectives * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to deliver high\-quality software releases * Document test results and contribute to test reporting and quality metrics **Essential Requirements** ✅ **3 to 5 years of experience** as a Test Analyst, QA Engineer, or UAT Tester ✅ **Proven banking or financial services experience is essential** — please apply only if you have hands\-on testing experience within the South African banking sector ✅ Hands\-on experience with the following: * Manual Functional Testing * End\-to\-End Test Execution and UAT * Regression and Integration Testing * API Testing (Postman, Swagger, SoapUI) * SQL Data Validation * Reconciliation and Banking Workflows * Defect Lifecycle Management using Jira * Mobile and Web Application Testing ✅ Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills ✅ Experience working in **Agile / Scrum** environments ✅ Ability to work effectively with Business Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders **Preferred / Nice\-to\-Have** * ISTQB Foundation Level or higher * Exposure to core banking platforms or workflows * Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, or qTest * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Work Location: Hybrid remote in Johannesburg, Gauteng
