As our business continues to expand Beacon Comms are looking to take on a excellent Project Manager based in Cape Town with a backround as an electrician with ambitions to ultimately lead their own team. Someone who will support with our existing workload, as well as helping us to gear up for the new business opportunities we know will be coming our way. As a Project Manager within Beacon Comms, you will be expected to manage every aspect of a project. You will take responsibility post\-acquisition and design, making all the necessary arrangements for each of your sites to be ready to receive our field engineers, through the build to site complete. This role can be demanding and requires someone who enjoys responsibility, problem solving, client management and has a commercial focus. You will be liaising with colleagues around the business, working particularly closely with our CAD, quantity surveying, accounts, and field engineering teams, as well as liaising directly with our clients and suppliers. To be a successful Project Manager at Beacon, you must be a team player with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, have a commercial focus in everything you do, be precise with an exacting eye for detail and be able to work at your best under pressure. The role will be office\-based full time You would be joining a busy mobile telecoms contracting company, with offices throughout the UK, and in South Africa, currently employing over 200 people. We require a project manager position to be filled at our South Africa office. Our customers include a number of major UK mobile operators. We are looking for an individual that can display the core skillsets to fulfil this role. **Key Role Responsibilities** * To keep project sponsors and other stakeholders up to date with progress. * To ensure customers are continually update on project status, recognising the importance ensuring customer systems as well as the Beacon Comms work system are constantly up to date. * To ensure all agreed client and internal KPI’s are met or exceeded. * Determine the resource requirements for the completion of all works throughout the project term. * Monitor spends against budgets. * Comply with the relevant health and safety policy provisions when planning works. * To perform other duties as required. * Manage productivity and assign roles, tasks and responsibilities necessary for completion of the work. * Manage customer communications professionally at all times. * Organise and schedule works for the engineers. * Preparation of site\-specific risk assessments and method statements. * Negotiating and arranging access with individual site providers. * Troubleshooting on the day issues. * Raising permits on client portals. * Receipt and collation of site/project handover documentation. **Required Experience and Skills** * Ability to prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines. * Excellent problem solving and logistical skills. * Able to communicate...
